Stress Reliever
Having a drive and motivation to pursue a movement and lifetime of memories this moments hit me in the street of Chicago from the early days of freestyling on corners. Waiting for my cousins to come through with the new Red Alert mix tape from New York also Chuck Chillout than wanting to embulate them, inspired by the Likes Of Rakim KRS-ONE and Big Daddy Kane at first emccing wasn't a goal or something I wanted to do but eventually I put the decks up for a Pen and Pad the first recording I ever laid down was in 1994 a three song demo in Middlesex.New Jersey but it didn't do much of anything.The first actually recording of a album I did was in 2000 in Chicago the album is called Wordlwind Expedition at the time that the producers on the album Sam Saunders and Foul Intalekt and me where trying to direct a new sound away from all the battle Ra-Ra that ingulfed the city underground scene.It was Imbraced for being diffrent yet lyically and musically sound it was a good start but lack of money and job forced my hand to moved to S.C was part of a start of a hip-hop movement but due to creative and business diffrences I walked away from the group I was affilated with.In 2004 Shawshank Redempiton came out on Xodus Records a soulful but still staying to sound that came from W.E moving to a new area and not feeling a part of the movement c.d sales were so-so. ON 2 late 05 early 06 when Back 2 Tha Essence dropped on Recycled Productioins a solid album produced by Phat with guest apperances by Correseptic Monique Isom Phat and 4 Letta, a great album that got overlooked by Upstate Newspapers but the worldwide and country response was great.the new album Have Mic,Will Travel where I'm exspecting greater results produced by Todd Sykes J.Johnson Mr,Dash and Phat look for that one to drop late 07 or early 08 I done shows in various spot Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta,New York City,Los Angeles if there something on here ya feeling fill free to drop a line or cop it on cdbaby.com cuz I have a Mic and Will travel Peace
